Back to the Grindstone

We had a whirlwind trip these past few weeks. It was a difficult beginning when I thought I would not be able to take Jacob's terrible twos anymore Billy came and was a great relief. Then Jacob got sick and was vomitting! Yay! No, It wasn't that bad and only lasted for a few days. Then we got to go to the beach to spend some quality time with my family. We haven't seen my oldest sister since Thanksgiving (she lives in Alaska). Then it was a 14hr drive on Saturday to get back to Bako for church on Sunday.

Here are a few highlights from the trip:

Seeing Anaiah being born into our large family and spending a lot of time with Aimee Jo and Andrew

Spending quality time with good friends the Tuckers

Going to Pump for 2 Sundays in a row and seeing our family

Seeing my Grandmother and eating her delicious cooking

Picking Billy up at the airport

Eating at my favorite places in Oregon

Having dinner with Cascade friends

Jacob vomitting on me

Being cold a lot of the time

Being with family

Every time I go back up for a visit it gets a little easiser, but still reminds me of everything that I love and miss about LBB (life before Bako). I have definitely been more emotional thanks to this new bun in the oven, and I am sure that amplified a lot of my feelings. Never-the-less, I am glad to be back and on a normal routine again, sleeping in my own bed and having all of my clothes to choose from, not a small contingient of things to wear! Back to Bako and back to work, at least for the time being...

I had the most wonderful day yesturday! I made it up to Oregon in time to see my very best friend in the whole world have her baby. Aimee Jo was so strong and did a marvelous job. Little Aniah wasn't so little, but Aimee really showed her who was boss! I always learn a lot from my friend and yesturday was no exception. I want to be just like her when I grow up. Strong as an ox, yet calm under pressure, and always thankful through everything for wonderful blessings.

Aniah is perfect (just like a tiny sumo wrestler). What a blessing she is. I am glad she is finally here and that I was able to meet her right away. I love her already.
