We're in Bakersfield (and so is Ando)!
Ok, so for all of you Heros fans out there we were driving down the street going to someone's house for dinner and I look over at this car we were passing and I saw, no kidding, the guy that plays Ando (Hiro's friend). I told Billy to slow down so he could verify and he also thought it was him! I am not sure that you could call him famous, but I really like that show, so I think it was really cool.
So, on to the real info. I have finished unpacking our stuff and we are done taking everything over to our storage unit. We still have a lot to do including getting our AC fixed in the Honda, getting our driver's liscences and opening a bank account. Billy has already started to do some office hours and has participated in all the church events possible since we have been here. It has been stressful so far, especially before I got us all unpacked, but hopefully that will wear off quickly. I am now expecting everything to kick in, that I have left my family and most of my friends, my job and church family behind. I have been having dreams about my friends and have been kind of emotional about it, but I am doing my best to make Bakersfield my new home and to appreciate all the new things here and the new opportunities that arise.
Jacob has been asking to go and visit his friends and has been having some separation anxiety, wanting to be near me or Billy all the time. Otherwise he is doing well, he is browning up well and loves all the freedom to go outside whenever he wants to. He has made a few new friends. Not to worry, he still remembers his old pals at prayer time and I am in process of making a collage of pictures (piscures as Jake would say) for his bedroom.
We love you all! And miss you all the time.

Oh Bren - Even though I know we didn't see each other much it was just the fact that I knew I could. So I miss you guys. You are in my prayers and I know you will all adjust. I will have to sent you a picutre for Jacobs wall

Oh, Brenda - we already miss you guys so much! I saw your little car driving in front of our house today and got the pang of the reminder that it wasn't one of you. The same each time we go by your place - looks like they were getting it ready for a new move-in today. We will continue to pray for your transition. Give Jacob a big hug from all of us - the kids miss him.
You saw Ando! How very cool is that??
